MacKenzie Dermatology is seeking to hire passionate, dedicated professionals to join our team.

  • Job Description:

    Responsible for escorting patients to exam rooms in a timely manner.

    Reviewing patient information and history with accuracy in noting patient’s concerns, preparing patient for the visit or procedure.

    Highly competent in assisting providers and documenting what is discussed.

    Preparing exam rooms and assisting provider in dermatologic procedures or minor surgeries.

    Work with others in a team environment with a strong emphasis on communication.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Rooming patients, collects necessary information and medical history.

    Documents subjective complaints and specific objective notes in patient chart.  Accuracy as to description, measurements or location of problem.

    Prepares patient for procedures and/or surgery (numbing, completing lab or pathology forms)

    Assists provider during office visits and/or surgery, documents what was performed and the details associated with what was discussed during the visit.  Prepares the patient post surgically and giving postoperative instruction and guidelines on follow up care or necessary future appointments.

    Preparing, restocking and cleaning exam rooms, filling syringes, maintaining surgical instruments and sterilization processes.  

    Follow and practice sterile procedures while assisting with a surgery.

    Follow chart documentation rules set by the office for accurate billing purposes.

    Responsible for accurately circling appropriate cpt/diagnosis codes associated with the visit.  

    Responsible for reviewing the chart to see if any information is missing such as lab reports or pathology.

    Ability and knowledge to perform:  suture removals, wound checks, injections, chemical peels.    

    Phone triage, prescription refills, or follow up calls from pharmacies or other physician offices.  Notifying patients of lab results, scheduling follow up appointments while maintaining accurate documentation procedures.

    High ability to recall specific information provided while assisting the provider.

    Ability to perform professionally during patient interaction.  Demonstrating a kind, positive attitude while delivering clear and accurate instruction.

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Medical Assistant license or certificate preferred

    Prior experience as medical assistant in a medical office or hospital setting preferred

    The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, coworkers, management and providers.

  • Job Description:

    Responsible for confirming patient appointments as well as maintaining the flow of all providers schedules.

    Verifies eligibility and benefits for all scheduled patients.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Confirms all scheduled appointments for all providers daily

    Verifies eligibility and benefits for all scheduled patients and updates the information in the billing system to insure accurate over the counter collection of copays and deductibles.

    Answers incoming phone calls, scheduling appointments and routes calls to appropriate staff

    Maintains and schedules new patients from the move up list for an earlier appointment

    Reschedules patients when changes are made to providers schedules

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Basic computer and typing skills

    Pleasant phone voice with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
